So do you have what it takes to bag a banking job?
The basic requirements for getting a banking job in Nigeria is to have a degree.
And not just any degree.
Ideally, you should have a degree from a prestigious university and, ideally, a degree in a numerical discipline.
Finance, economics, accounting, business – all of these subjects are good options.
The next key requirement is to have some kind of relevant work experience.
Examples of relevant experience would be using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
One great way of getting such experience would be to join a relevant graduate internship program at a bank.
In Nigeria, there are plenty of banks offering such graduate internship programs including Diamond Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank.
