5 Nigerian Job Sites To Help You Find Your Dream Job

Nigerian Job Sites

Are you on the hunt for the latest job opportunities in Nigeria? The current economic climate means that finding that dream job is tougher than ever. However, there’s help at hand. A bewildering number of Nigerian job sites have sprung up in recent years which list Nigeria jobs online. Luckily for you, our team at NigeriaSHARE.com has compiled the ULTIMATE list of Nigerian job sites. Check it out below.

1. Jobberman

Jobberman is the Rolls Royce of job sites in Nigeria. It stands out among all other Nigerian job sites due to its slick and professional design. The site has both a desktop and mobile version (mobile.jobberman.com) as well as a mobile app which is downloadable from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Nokia Store and Blackberry App World.

Jobberman offers a number of free additional features which will help you find Nigeria jobs online with ease. Examples include the following:

  • A CV appraisal, which automatically updates your profile on the Jobberman site
  • An email job alert which can be tailored in accordance with monthly salary and location
  • A range of interesting articles on job search strategies, career advice and workplace issues

Finally, Jobberman offers an SMS alert for particular employment areas of interest that you can sign up for if you have a mobile telephone subscription with Airtel. Keep in mind that this isn’t a free service and currently costs 50 Naira for one week of job alerts via SMS. No other Nigerian job site offered this service at the time of writing.

Our only gripe with Jobberman is that that site has annoying habit of kicking you off once you have logged on, forcing users to re-login. Sort it out guys!

2. NG Careers

One of the best Nigerian job sites is NG Careers. Not only does it have a slick professional design but it also offers candidates the opportunity to submit an application via the site (rather than via an email address or external site).

NG Careers offers the usual email job alerts and will soon be providing SMS alerts as well – the website currently states that the “service will be up soon”. In particular, NG Careers really stands out for its innovative services which include:

  • A list of training and courses as well as jobs
  • A toolbar which can be installed into your browser with an in-built search via NG Careers
  • Anonymous employee reviews of Nigerian companies (in a similar style to the Glass Door)

We were also impressed by the active customer support forum available at the NG Careers website where users can ask questions about the site itself or more general questions about the best way to find Nigeria jobs online.

3. Hot Nigerian Jobs

Hot Nigerian Jobs promises big things to its users – it’s motto is “it’s your life, get the best out of it”. If getting the best out of life means finding the perfect job, then the very wide range of job vacancies available at Hot Nigerian Jobs will not disappoint you.

The site offers a very simple registration process for first time users, asking them only for a name, date of birth, username and password. The whole sign up experience is refreshingly simple in contrast to other sites that can sometimes demand all types of information about your previous work experience in order to register.

Registering with the site allows you to save job vacancies of interest as “favourites” for a future date. However, we couldn’t see any additional advantages to registration. For example, the Hot Nigerian Jobs site doesn’t offer the option to apply via the site itself. Rather, applicants apply via an external site or email address unconnected to the site itself.

4. My Job Mag

My Job Mag is number four on our list of the top Nigerian job sites for one main reason – it’s innovative CV Builder application. This CV Builder application allows you to upload your details and My Job Mag will create a CV on the site based on its standard template. If you are interested in a number of different roles, then the site allows you to create multiple CVs, each tailored to a specific profession. My Job Mag then makes the CVs available to employers who will contact candidates if they are interested in inviting the candidate for an interview.

Aside from this, My Job Mag is a simple, modern looking and “no frills” website which allows you to view jobs without the need to login and sign up for free job alerts via an email subscription.

5. Job List Nigeria

Another fantastic resource for finding Nigerian jobs today is Job List Nigeria. Unlike other sites listed above, Job List Nigeria is an aggregator of job vacancies in Nigeria. This means that there’s no requirement to register for the site and you do not apply through Job List Nigeria. Instead, the site simply lists all available job vacancies in Nigeria.

It is this simplicity that we love about Job List Nigeria. It is the perfect site for those who are perhaps already employed and looking to see what jobs are available without necessarily signing up for a site and giving away personal details that could fall into the wrong hands (i.e. your current employer!).

The site is also easy to navigate with jobs being listed according to different companies and industries. It is also popular on Facebook and has 200,000 likes at the time of writing.
